The Aero XL150SC

The Aero XL150SC

XL150SC: This popular combi ski is similar to the XL150S, but has a longer shaft and a clutch wheel in the front. This is an excellent combi ski, especially for those who have rougher roads, but due to the narrower wheels it requires good balance to classic ski on. Optional outriggers can be mounted which prevent the ski from tipping to the side and is recommended for all beginners or those that do not have good balance.

XLA940C

XLA940C

XLA940C: This aluminum shaft ski uses the same wheel forks and the same wheels as the XLQ models. The composite wheel forks used on the XLA940C reduce road vibration better than skis with metal wheel forks, so even with aluminum shafts the ride is more comfortable than skis with metal forks. The V2-940C has been one of our most popular models for many years. This is an improved version of the V2-940C that can be used for both skating and classic skiing. Identical to the XLQ940C but uses the much less expensive aluminum shaft.

Benefits of XLQ Construction

XLQ940C:  If you train on fairly good pavement this is the best combi ski. Combi skis are a compromise, but the original 940C with aluminum shafts has been a very popular ski. With the XLQ composite construction this is a great ski for paved surfaces. The XLQ940C uses a 33mm wide front ratchet wheel for better skating characteristics, but in order to increase stability when classic skiing the rear wheels are standard 40mm wide classic wheels.
