Benefits of XLQ Construction

XLQ98 SERIES: Skiers who have tried the XLQ 98 roller skis consider them the best free style skis ever made for decently paved surfaces. They tell us that the XLQ98 has the most snow like feel of any roller ski. The XLQ98 weigh just 1570 grams a pair and accept both brakes and speed reducers.

Aero XL125S

Aero XL125S

The XL125S is much like the XL150S but uses a smaller 125mm wheel which makes it about 100 grams lighter than the XL150S, and many people find it is easier to balance on. Many lighter skiers and those with very good technique prefer it to the XL150S but skiers over 170 pounds will want the XL150 as the larger wheels wear better and are more reliable.

Aero XL150S Skate

Aero XL150S Skate

The original Aero with the 150mm pneumatic wheels can cover terrain impossible with any other roller ski. The large 150mm pneumatic wheels easily roll over road debris and provide a very smooth ride. Despite the large wheel size the XL150S is very light at only 2000g per pair, which is why so many say the XL150S is their favorite roller ski.

XLA850

XLA850

XLA850: This is an improved version of one of our original skate skis from the 1990’s. From 1993 until he retired in 1999 Olympic and World Champion Vladimir Smirnov used the original version of the 800 for all his skate training.

XLA98

XLA98

XLA98 SERIES: These are very good and inexpensive skate skis. The models are almost identical to the XLQ hybrid shaft skis except they use the much less expensive aluminum shafts that are protected with a clear anodic coating. The M is medium speed, the MS is medium slow and the S is slow.
