The Canal Trail in Cheshire & Hamden: Go West on Route 42 from Route 10 in Cheshire to the Lock 12 park and parking lot. The trail is 5.4 miles long and is being extended toward the South. Very busy on beautiful days, but generally very enjoyable. There are more parking lots along the trail. -Karl Audenaerde
